An Ode for my Master!

My Heart sinks in the deep ocean of Love!
The Picture assures Unconditional Love!

Your Hand on your Heart
promises that “I am Yours”
The Tattoo on my Hand
utters that “You are Mine”

In the Whole Process,
Death could not make us apart..
It only took me..
unfathomable in the Ocean of Love!

The above verse was jotted down on a small chit on the 2nd day of my silence on the Art Of Living Advance course ( Meditate and find yourself stringing beautiful sentences ), just a glance of this photograph in the hall & wow I am a lyricist!!

Rise of the Guardians..

Since childhood I have always been thrilled about the Fairy Tales & Heroic movies and this x’mas saw the rise of the guardians a perfect 3d animated tells the story of group of heroes with extraordinary abilities..when an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal guardians join forces for the first time..to PROTECT the HOPES, BELIEFS and IMAGINATION of the children’s all over the world... And so is in our real world…with time & occasion, this world has been fortunate with the “Spiritual Guardians” the enlightened masters to guide us and eliminate Fear, anxiety, stress , depression or any type of evils within us..thus giving Hope to all..

Thus budding with wisdom my journey also shifts from the fairy tales to the real life…from dreams to reality..

The quest of whatz this wonderful world about & that faraway world which we don’t know.."The Unseen"..

I got my answers on Aug 2003 at Juhu in mumbai, when i was blessed to meet the infamous spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar and lo...clean bowled!… Well mesmerized by his presence that same moment I knew HE is the One!! He is the Guardian of My Life..He is the Hope for the humanity!..

Meditation & compassion are the Best Education for the Soul’

Yesterday night's bizarre in Connecticut (14th Dec’12, 10.23 pm), m enforced to talk about this gunman who killed 26 people, including 18 young children’s, at a U.S. School, this has been the worst school shootings in the country’s history, Frightened students who were rushed from the building by police were told to close their eyes. Immediately a question arises does this man have a heart? Can a human being be so cruel to kill helpless 18 kids? How stressed & aggressive this person must be? And consequently remembering some words spoken by HH Sri Sri RaviShankar way back and thus a hunt (The Treasure Hunt!) in the archives…came across this interview:

When disembarking from the flight to Sofia on April 25, HH Sri Sri RaviShankar was asked: What made you commit your life to building a world without violence? He said: “I do this work because of my love for humanity.” On his first visit to the country, HH Sri Sri RaviShankar was asked his guidance on many critical issues facing the world, including the role of religion in conflicts, and the Easter violence in Bulgaria.

Following is an excerpt from an interview for Channel 1, one of the most popular national television channels in Bulgaria.

Channel 1:What would you say to all those who suffer from depression in the world?
HH Sri Sri RaviShankar: Firstly, I would say that everything changes, and secondly that you need to see the hand of the Divine in everything that happens. Thirdly, look at the situation of those around you and you can certainly find someone who is in a far worse position than you. If you can help those who are worse off than you, your depression will be lifted. The fourth thing is to learn breathing exercises. This can ward off the depression before it even starts, just as vaccinations remove the danger of disease before they strike.

Channel 1: What do you think is the best education for the soul?
HH Sri Sri RaviShankar: Meditation and Compassion.

Channel 1: Why is there so much stress in the world today?
HH Sri Sri RaviShankar: Because people have not learned yoga and meditation. It’s that simple.

Channel 1: Are bad thoughts harmful?
HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Only if you act on them. Bad thoughts, and good thoughts come and go. Don’t become attached to them. If you try, and resist bad thoughts they will persist. Just let them be..

Channel 1: What do you say to those who say true love doesn’t exist?
HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: I’d say come to Art of Living and learn true love.

Channel 1: Are you a happy man?
HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: What do you think? Ha Ha..:)

Art of Living turns 30 this year. We have been on planet Earth for 30 wonderful years.
We are having a huge celebration: The World Culture Festival at the Berlin Olympic Stadium on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2011. A stadium originally built by Hitler for the infamous Berlin Olympics in the last century, will be used to spread the message of One World Family – Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. A message of Peace, Love, Happiness and Harmony in Diversity.

This will be followed by a YES!+ Advance course from the 4th to the 7th of July Wid Guruji ofcourse!.

After more than a month of discussion and haggling with various Travel Agents, we have some very nice prices for people who wish to come!

Departure from India is either from Bombay or Delhi on June 30th.

The price is *drum roll* Rs 51,000!!

The price includes airfare from India (ex Bombay and Delhi) to Berlin and back. The price includes the entry to the World Culture Festival on 2nd and 3rd as well as the price for the YES!+ Advance Course. It includes meals on the Advance course.

We have got this fare after ridiculous amounts of quibbling with all parties concerned and it is utterly non refundable.

It doesn’t include your accommodation in Berlin. If you wish to rough it out and stay in a tent, it will cost you about Rs 6000 from July 1st to 8th. You will need to bring your own sleeping bags.

If you wish to stay in a dorm type accommodation, 2-3 people in one room, then it will cost you about Rs 15,000 from July 1st to 8th.

We can assist you in getting any of these types of accommodation. There are only 40 beds available now in Berlin for the dorm accommodation. Plenty of tent accommodation is there.

The aim of mankind is to reach towards happiness and joy’

Mumbai (India), June 11: Sri Sri..
The mind can be slippery. Yet, faith should not be slippery. Life is about faith, though sometimes it becomes shaky. Whenever you have been in trouble, haven’t you received help? You will keep receiving it.

You all are like flowers which will never die, never wither. Today there is not a single person who does not have sweetness in his heart. Even if you visit a prison, there are people who have sweetness in their hearts. This joy and happiness that we have received, should be reached to others. The aim of mankind is to reach towards happiness and joy. From joy, two things are born in you: a smile and a desire to serve.

There are two kinds of devotees. Have you observed a cat and a monkey? When a monkey walks, its child will cling to it. The monkey is not bothered about its child because the child follows the mother. Whereas a kitten does not follow
its mother. The mother has to keep an eye on the child, and takes it in its mouth wherever she goes. Are you a cat or a monkey? Do you cling to the Divine or let the Divine carry you?

Also, for those who are on the path, remember to relax.

Again, there are two types of devotees.
Those who are just starting on the path are like those who are running to catch the train and those who have already begun are those who are already sitting inside the train. People who are just starting are worried about their ability to catch the train; they have to catch a taxi from home, rush to the platform on time, find the right platform, and then find the correct coach, and then get on the train. Until they get on the train, they cannot rest.

If those who are on the train already run from one compartment to the other, will they reach their destination sooner? What is the use of running inside the compartment?

After getting into the compartment, put your luggage down and relax. And then you will get to your destination.
Sri Sri..

Ma New Hobby- Stamp Collection"

Guruji's stamps were released in Netherlands in..april 09!

The Government of The Netherlands in Europe has released 4 types of stamps in Guruji’s honour.
1) Two snaps of guruji ,,,one of them says “I am with you”
2) The second one is the photo of Vishalakshi Mantap" (the white structural)
3) In the 4th photograph.. some of the children are studying in our Bangalore Ashram rural school..where now around 2000 kids from the neighbouring & tribal villages come for free schooling.

Its an irony that people outside our country appreciate Guruji's work so much and our own government hasn't really appreciated his contribution to our own country !

Sooo..my new hobby will be Stamp collecting, as i think guruji will be in every global stamps and it will be privilage to have them..Now definately going to collect these stamps of guruji.

Ballot gets Lucky!!!

H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar walks the talk by casting his vote at the recent elections in Karnataka, India - April 23, 2009

India's problems are complex. And unfortunately these are compounded by vote-bank politics. Instead of uniting the different sections of society, many politicians divide it to keep their vote banks intact. If people are united, politicians won't be able to get votes through divisive politics. In such a situation, the only way for them to win votes would be through good performance.
As citizens, we must protect our country from those who manipulate issues for their personal gains and who lead by playing vote-bank politics. Those with vested interests support insensible decisions and oppose sensible ones. We have to steer clear of such leaders. We must encourage broad-minded politicians and leaders to come forward and take charge, and to educate and uplift the society - spiritually, morally and socially.
We need leaders who are satya-darshi (truthful), sam-darshi (equanimous), priya-darshi (pleasant), paar-darshi (transparent) and door-darshi (visionary). So, before we elect our leaders, we should examine their qualifications.
We must elect leaders who will do away with policies based on caste, creed, religion and region; who will ensure that every child gets a multi-cultural, multi-dimensional education.
We need leadership with a mission and a vision, leadership with a spirit of sacrifice, compassion and commitment. We must choose leaders who have a long-term vision and short-term plans to achieve it. They should have great personal integrity, and place the country before themselves.
Unfortunately, most of our politicians lack a sense of sacrifice and inclusiveness. Irrespective of the party they belong to, people perceive politicians as insincere. Today, people are fed up of them. This is when apathy sets in among people. They dismiss politics as a whole and withdraw from their basic duty of voting.
Our votes are an important tool to bring about a change in the system; they give us an opportunity to raise our voice against injustice. But many of us have developed a chalta hai attitude, because we fail to see the power of our votes. This attitude is dangerous for the country. By not voting we are encouraging the status quo.
Each one of us must not only vote but also encourage others around us to vote. When good, intelligent and well-educated people don't vote, they play into the hands of politicians, who use money and vote bank politics to seize power. People should not lose hope. Good politicians exist. And they must be given a chance to do the best they can for the country, for its people.
We have seen the shortcomings of capitalism, communism and socialism. Now is the time for humanism and spiritualism. Politics without humanism and spiritualism is bound to be dirty. Many people believe that spiritualism is not for this world, that it is not a practical tool to bring about societal transformation. But that's a misconception. Mahatma Gandhi was spiritual. He conducted satsangs every day and played an important role in bringing freedom for our country.
That is why today we need leaders who have a spirit of sacrifice, and who are spiritual in their outlook, to enter politics.

Happy Voting!!!!

Guruji walked in knee-deep water for 3 km to meet the flood victims

Guruji, H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, on Thursday, visited different relief camps in the flood-affected areas of Purnia and Madhepura in Bihar to bring solace to the survivors and take stock of the relief operations undertaken by the Art of Living.

Guruji walked in knee-deep water for 3 km from Jankinagar in the Purnia district to Murliganj in the Madhepura district to interact with the victims. Guruji arrived in Purnia in the morning, counselled the victims taking shelter in the Jankinagar Phulwari camp, where the Art of Living is taking care of nearly 5,000 people.

Later addressing a large gathering of 10,000 people from nearly 50 surrounding villages, Sri Sri advised them to maintain a positive outlook towards life despite the devastation. "Make best use of your stay in the camps under difficult circumstances. As it's going to take some more time for the waters to recede and the rehabilitation process to materialise, utilise the time here to learn new skills," he said.

He announced that the Art of Living would provide vocational training to women in the camps. It has already started training in tailoring skills at the Jankinagar camp. Sri Sri also said the Art of Living would start a campaign to teach reading and writing to illiterate people staying in the camps.

He extracted a commitment from the people not to practice female foeticide and to stop harassment of women. He announced that the youth of the area would be trained under the Art of Living's Youth Leadership Training Programme so that they can shoulder the responsibility of rehabilitation in the area. Urging the people not to lose heart, Sri Sri cited the example of Nagapattinam, which was completely devastated by the tsunami in 2004, and now has been completely rebuilt. "See this devastation as the foundation of a new rebuilding," he said.

Many of the victims shared that they were feeling relieved after attending the trauma relief sessions offered by the Art of Living. Sri Sri also lauded the good work done by the Art of Living volunteers, particularly the doctors, who have come from different parts of India and abroad. Earlier in the morning, the District Magistrate of Purnia, C Sridhar received Sri Sri on his arrival.

Within hours of the flood that has affected an estimated 3.5 million people, the Art of Living has been carrying out a multi-pronged relief operation in the flood-affected areas of Bihar on a war footing. In addition to providing emergency supplies and trauma care to the survivors taking shelters in various camps, the Art of Living is reaching out to more inaccessible areas as many villages are still submerged under water.

Jaigurudev!!!
